lots of us start out with hand-me-downs and mis-matched furniture. and if you’re like me, you’re STILL living with hand-me-downs and the mis-matched odd-ball pieces that fill your home.
like any artist I want to paint WHEN I want, HOW I want, and WHAT I want.
however, I also really appreciate how practical art can be. how it can make everything make sense with a few brush strokes. paint has been my decorating saving grace.
next time you walk into a room and feel defeated by all your mis-matched oddball pieces, consider a custom painting that can bring all those things together
and let you say with confidence ” yeah. I meant to do that”
we got a new comforter. not the one I would pick, but it was 5 dollars, so here’s how I’m making it work without having to buy new pillows, curtains, and repaint all the walls
